How to Find an Appropriate WebQuest
to Enhance Language Arts Lessons in K-6 Classrooms

This course is meant to be an independent venture between the educator and the Internet.  All readings, assignments, and course content are designed to be self-administered and optional.

At the end of the course is a self-quiz to test your knowledge as well as a course survey.  

Objectives of all WebQuest Lessons:

• Participants will be able to define and describe what a WebQuest is
• Participants will be able to briefly explain the background and research regarding WebQuests
• Participants will be able to identify at least 3 types of learning tasks that WebQuests can offer 
• Participants will be able to locate a grade level appropriate WebQuest in the genre of Language Arts

• Is there a Main "WebQuest" Page

• Are WebQuests  based on Research? 
• Where can I read research about WebQuests?

Step 3:   A Taxonomy of WebQuests

• What sort of higher-order thinking skills do WebQuests address?

• How do I locate quality WebQuests for my grade-level? 

Step 5:   Apply your WebQuest Knowledge

• Challenge yourself to find a WebQuest to supplement a current lesson in your classroom
• Share your findings
• Assess your new knowledge
